What is Sculptra?

WHAT IS SCULPTRA?

Sculptra is not a filler like Juvederm or Restylane products which contain hyaluronic acid to plump the skin with immediate results. Sculptra results are slow and gradual over time and after a few sessions.

Sculptra is a bio-stimulating injectable formulated with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a compound that triggers your body's own collagen production. PLLA is a polymer of lactic acid, the same compound that your muscles use as a primary energy source. It starts to reduce wrinkles, improve skin tightness, and treat areas of volume loss in the face over a period of time. Sculptra works by targeting collagen production at the source, addressing the underlying causes of skin concerns instead of simply treating the symptoms. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING & AFTER A SCULPTRA TREATMENT:

Sculptra treatment involves a series of injections over two to three sessions, spaced between four and six weeks apart. It's commonly injected with a thin cannula for less bruising and more comfort. At Skin Elevé, our injectors are highly skilled and with their advanced injection techniques you will get the best results. After the injection you’re free to go about normal activities. There may be a little bruising or swelling at the injection sites but goes away within a few days. We advise avoiding strenuous activities for 48 hours. Massaging the injection areas is crucial for optimal results. We have the 5-5-5 rule, five minutes, five times per day for five days post-treatment.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

The results that you gain with Sculptra appear gradually and look natural. You will start seeing a healthier and glowing skin within the first few months. They will continue to increase for up to six months after your treatment and last for up to two-three years. The number of vials and sessions vary per individual and the condition of their skin.
